Seetag/Day at Sea 3 auf der/on QUEEN VICTORIA

Wie damals auf der QUEEN VICTORIA 2008: Ich sitze in der Bibliothek und versuche mich mit dem Internet zu verbinden. Nicht mal die eigenen Terminals sind dazu im Stande. Hier müsste es doch ein LAN-Kabel geben, damit ich mich mit meinem Gerät verbinden kann, aber leider nichts vorhanden. Nicht mal meine Facebook-Seite baut sich auf: wäre das ein Bild von der Brücke der QUEEN VICTORIA statt CELEBRITY REFLECTION 2022: vielleicht hätte sich ja dann das Bild aufgebaut. Ein Fall von Zensur. Vielleicht sollte ich über das Roaming im Bord-Mobilfunknetz es versuchen, aber die Warnung der Telekom schrecken mich doch ab.

It's funny: this is the only ship I've seen so far that does the Walk a Mile loop: Starboard: bow to stern and Port: stern to bow. I mean that on all other ships, it's the other way around. At first, I could use a walkman and a hoodie, but it got so cold that I had to get my wool hat. While doing my rounds, they must have noticed on the camera that I photographed the Fincantieri construction sign. Someone is promptly sent down to polish it to a high shine.

Während ich meine Runden drehe, haben sie wohl über die Kamera beobachtet, dass ich das Fincantieri-Bauschild fotografiert habe. Prompt wird jemand runtergeschickt, damit es auf Hochglanz poliert wird.

Es geht wieder zum Frühstück: was sehr schade ist: es gibt keinen Tablettservice mehr für das Frühstücksgebäck.

Since my Covid-19 infection after the REGAL PRINCESS 2022, I have suffered from Long-Covid. I can sleep very well during the day. So I take the chance to sleep until lunch. At lunchtime, we are usually served by Rowen and John Roland. Also, always charming service.



Seit meiner Covid-19-Infektion nach der REGAL PRINCESS 2022, leide ich unter Long-Covid. Ich kann tagsüber sehr gut schlafen. Also nutze ich die Chance bis zum Mittagessen einfach zu schlafen. Mittags werden wir meistens von Rowen und John Roland bedient. Auch immer sehr netter Service.

Es gibt im Chart Room keine Frappés. Sondern nur Cappuccino freddo.

Hier gibt es tagsüber auch immer eine Kleinigkeit zum Mittagessen. Ich brauchte noch Nachschlag.

Da unser Getränkepaket auch schöne Teesorten beinhaltet, nutzen wir es schamlos aus: wir werden zwar nicht betrunken, sondern müssen nur öfters auf die Toilette...

Abends gibt es hier immer ein paar Knabbereien und Oliven.

Sojan works in the Wintergarden during the day. I am so sorry that he has to work here in a thick jacket because it's always drafty.



Sojan arbeitet tagsüber im Wintergarden. Er tut mir so leid, dass er hier mit dicker Jacke arbeiten muss, weil es hier immer zieht.

Ich versuche nachmittags hier Landnetz zu bekommen. Sojan serviert mir meinen Tee und bringt mir dazu ein paar Kekse.

Da er sieht, dass es eng für mich ist, holt er unaufgefordert einen kleinen Tisch, damit ich besser an den Tee und die Kekse drankomme. Er ist besser als jeder Butler, weil er irgendwie sich in die Bedürfnisse seiner Gäste reinfühlen kann. Es macht mir sehr viel Freude, mich von ihm bedienen zu lassen und ihm auch ein wenig mehr Trinkgeld und Schokolade zukommen zu lassen.

Abends geht es für eine Virgin Mary wieder in den Commodore Club. Ich habe mich zwischenzeitlich an die Schärfe im Hals gewöhnt. Alle Viren wohl nicht. Bisher bin ich negativ.

Ich besuche kurz die deutsche Sprechstunde. Hier weist man mich zunächst ab: soll ich zur chinesischen Sprechstunde? Aber als ich doch den Sprachtest bestanden habe, ohne, dass ich meine Einbürgerungsurkunde vorweisen muss, frage ich nach, ob an Bord nicht auch mal wieder ein Mittagessen für deutschsprachige Gäste angeboten wird. Leider sei des derzeit bei Level 2 nicht vorgesehen. Aber man würde mal nachfragen.

Am gleichen Abend bekommen wir die Einladung. Das ging aber echt schnell. Wir waren aber nicht die einzigen, die gefragt haben.

Schon ist wieder Zeit für das Abendessen. Ich hatte Lust meinen Janker anzuziehen. So haben wir auch mal Gelegenheit unser Dinner-Team vorzustellen Joseph, Robert und Marcelo. Ich musste Dominic noch "beweisen", dass wir uns von der QUEEN MARY 2 2014 kennen. Damals hatte ich auch 25 kg mehr und deswegen hat er mich nicht erkannt. Damals war Grzegorz Maître im Princess Grill und Dominic hatte hier gearbeitet. Das Bild zeige ich denen auch noch. Sie sind doch erfreut, dass sie Teil meiner schönen Erinnerungen sind. Meine Antwort: ich mache nur Bilder von Menschen, die ich gerne in guter Erinnerung behalte. Da es gerade für einen Moment ruhig ist und zufällig alle Head Waiter und die Restaurant-Leitung zusammen dastehen, muss ich die Gelegenheit nutzen: Neben den bereits bekannten Grzegors, Warren und Dominic, sind noch Restaurant Manager Izat, Head Waiter Michael und Christian. Ich muss sagen, dass ich mich hier ausgesprochen wohl im Britannia-Restaurant fühle.

My answer: I only take pictures of people I like to keep in good memory. Since it's quiet for a moment and all the head waiters and the restaurant management happen to be standing together, I have to take the opportunity: In addition to the already known Grzegorz, Warren and Dominic, there are also restaurant managers Izat, head waiters Michael and Christian. I have to say that I feel incredibly comfortable here in the Britannia restaurant.
