Tag/Day 1.2 auf der/on QUEEN ELIZABETH in Barcelona, Spain

QE-Nadeln? Da wir uns nicht auf der Weltreise befinden, kaufen wir sie nicht. Ansonsten freuen wir uns über den Starlink-Hinweis. EUR und GBP werden auch an der Rezeption gehandelt.



QE pins? We're not buying them since we're not traveling on a world cruise. Otherwise, we are happy about the Starlink reference. EUR and GBP are also traded at reception.







Wir werden im Hauptrestaurant als Transitreisende für das Mittagessen abgewiesen. Irgendwie habe ich mit Gepäck keine Lust im SB-Restaurant zu essen. Wir gehen kurzerhand in den Golden Lion's Pub. Dort wird etwas gegen Zuzahlung angeboten: Lobster Roll. Damals auf der QUEEN VICTORIA 2008 gab es noch das Lobster-Croissant bei Todd English. Das schmeckt aber genauso gut und ist das Geld Wert. Leider gibt es nur das als Zuzahlgericht. Täglich wechselnd ist nur der Pie. Heute Hühnchen. Hätte ich eigentlich auch gerne gehabt. Aber der Lobster Roll ist schon so groß, dass ich ihn nicht ganz aufessen kann. Mit Interesse studiere ich die Getränkekarte. Wir haben ja kein Getränkepaket für die Kaltgetränke.



We are turned away from the main restaurant as transit travelers for lunch. I don't feel like eating in a self-service restaurant with luggage. Without further ado, we go to the Golden Lion's Pub. Something is offered there for an additional payment: a lobster roll. Back on QUEEN VICTORIA 2008, there was still the lobster croissant at Todd English. But it tastes just as good and is worth the money. Unfortunately, this is only available as an additional dish. Only the pie changes daily. Chicken today. I would have liked it, too. But the lobster roll is so big that I can't finish it all. I study the drinks menu with interest. We don't have a drinks package for cold drinks.

We pass the pictures of the senior officers. I have to see who we have all the mail from so I can say thank you when they come across us.

We leave the ship again. All information is in the daily program. As we walked out, we saw the Bags and Go stand. Since we are there by car, we won't use it this time. As drivers, we need information about which terminal and which ship is docked.



Wir verlassen nochmals das Schiff. Alle Informationen stehen im Tagesprogramm. Beim Rausgehen sehen wir den Stand von Bags and Go. Da wir mit dem Auto da sind nutzen wir ihn dieses Mal nicht. Als Autofahrer brauchen wir eher die Information, an welchem Terminal, welches Schiff liegt.





Für die QUEEN ELIZABETH wird ein eigener kostenloser Shuttle zum World Trade Center angeboten. Da ich aber fotografieren will, laufen wir zu Fuß. Da wir am Terminal D sind, geht es einfach, da der Ausgang aus dem Hafen am Terminal C ist.



A free shuttle to the World Trade Center is offered for the QUEEN ELIZABETH. But since I wanted to take photos, we walked. Since we are at Terminal D, it's easy as the exit from the port is at Terminal C.



Ab nächste Woche dürfen ja die stadtnahen Terminals nicht mehr genutzt werden. Das bringt viel Aufregung, dass viele Fragen, wo jetzt die neuen Kreuzfahrtterminals sind: Tarragona? Mol Addossat gibt es ja auch weiterhin: das haben diejenigen, die mit ihrem Reposting der Nachricht für Unruhe gesorgt haben, nicht bis zum Ende gelesen. Und wenn es dort vollläuft: wir haben auch schon mal ein Festzelt hier gesehen und dann wurde ein Schiff auch hier zwischen den Containers abgefertigt. Irgend ein boßhafter Mensch lässt mir genau vor unserem Balkon einen Container von Yang Ming abstellen.



Starting next week, the terminals near the city will no longer be allowed to be used. This brings a lot of excitement and a lot of questions about where the new cruise terminals are: Tarragona? Mol Addossat still exists: those who caused unrest by reposting the message didn't read it all the way through. I had booked tickets for the short harbor tour from Las Golondrinas to the cruise terminal yesterday, but we didn't make it due to a last-minute traffic jam. And leaving so late, when all the cruise ships have left, doesn't make sense to me. On weekdays, there are no small rounds, only large ones. We ask politely, and we only have to pay the difference. A picture is taken on board. The image is funny, and I like to buy the photo.



Ich hatte eigentlich für gestern Karten für die kleine Hafenrundfahrt von Las Golondrinas zum Cruise Terminal gebucht, aber aufgrund eines Staus in letzter Minute haben wir es nicht geschafft. Und erst so spät rauszufahren, wenn alle Kreuzfahrtschiffe weg sind, macht für mich keinen Sinn. An Werktagen finden keine kleine Runden sondern nur große. Wir fragen höflich nach und wir müssen nur die Differenz nachzahlen. An Bord wird ein Bild gemacht. Ich finde das Bild lustig und kaufe gerne das Foto.







We leave at the Columbus Column. We pass the Maremagnum. We sailed out and saw the W where we lived before REGAL PRINCESS 2022. From a distance, we see El Peix d'Or (fish building), Parc de Salud Mar (the round building), Torre Glories (Sugar Loaf), Sagrada Familia (last visited before the NORWEGIAN SPIRIT 2013 trip, Gas Natural Tower (black glass skyscraper) and Tibidabo, which we know from our trip on KONINGSDAM 2016.



Wir fahren an der Columbussäule ab. Vorbei geht es am Maremagnum. Wir fahren raus und sehen das W, in dem wir vor der REGAL PRINCESS 2022 gewohnt haben. Wir sehen aus der Ferne El Peix d'Or (Fischgebäude), Parc de Salud Mar (das runde Gebäude), Torre Glories (Zuckerhut), Sagrada Familia (zuletzt besucht vor der NORWEGIAN SPIRIT 2013-Reise, Gas Natural Tower (schwarzes Glashochhaus) und Tibidabo, das wir von unserer Reise auf der KONINGSDAM 2016 her kennen.

Wir haben wieder unseren Krug dabei. Wir gehen zur Getränkestation im SB-Restaurant, um uns Wasser zu holen. Ich werde darauf angesprochen, dass man keine eigenen Flaschen abfüllen darf. Aber es wird akzeptiert, dass ich einen Krug habe. Trotzdem das Wasser fließt zu langsam für den Krug. Ich brauche eine andere Lösung. Irgendwie gibt es die großen Flaschen in der Kabine nicht mehr.



We have our mug with us again. We go to the drinks station in the self-service restaurant to get water. They told me that I was not allowed to fill my own bottles. But it is accepted that I have a mug. Still, the water flows too slowly for the jug. I need another solution. Somehow, the big bottles in the cabin no longer exist.

After no photographer was on board on QUEEN VICTORIA 2022, there is a service here again. The photos are also becoming more and more expensive.



Nach dem es ja zuletzt auf der QUEEN VICTORIA 2022 kein Fotograf an Bord war: hier gibt es wieder einen Dienst. Die Fotos werden auch immer teurer.



Immediately after our QUEEN VICTORIA 2022 trip, Cunard introduced open table time in the Britannia restaurant. Similar to CARNIVAL PRIDE 2023, we have to queue virtually. We "queued" for deck 3 because it was emptier there. But we have yet to receive a message. Here, we find out that we are assigned to Deck 2, and Deck 3 plays no role in the application. Everything is fine, just as we are used to from Cunard.



Direkt nach unserer QUEEN VICTORIA 2022-Reise wurde bei Cunard die offene Tischzeit im Britannia-Restaurant eingeführt. So ähnlich wie auf der CARNIVAL PRIDE 2023, müssen wir uns virtuell anstellen. Wir haben uns für das Deck 3 "angestellt", weil es dort leerer war. Aber wir bekommen keine Nachricht. Also fragen wir nach: hier erfahren wir, dass wir dem Deck 2 zugeteilt sind und das Deck 3 auf der Anwendung keine Rolle spielt. Es ist alles in Ordnung, so wie wir es von Cunard gewohnt sind.

Ich gehe kurz in die Show "Celtic Rock" von Gastkünstlerin E Sarah Carter. Aber es ist mir zu "interaktiv" - kindisch "interaktiv". Die Briten mögen so etwas. Ich mag das nicht so. Also schleiche ich mich ins Bett.



I watched guest artist E Sarah Carter's "Celtic Rock" show. But it's too "interactive" for me - childishly "interactive". The British like that sort of thing. I'm not too fond of it that way. So I sneak into bed.
