We came very close to QUEEN MARY 2.Last time she had a red flag.
Beim letzten Mal gab es noch die rote Flagge.Und nun sieht man es: Hamilton als Heimathafen.

Und dann QUEEN VICTORIA. Wegen der 50 m-Regel dürfen wir nicht in das Hafenbecken einfahren.

I thought it migth be our cabin categorie but ours is only available on the starboard side.
Ich dachte, dass es unsere Kabinenkategorie sein könnte, aber unsere Kategorie gibt es nur an der Steuerbordseite.

Nach der Tour gönnen wir uns etwas Warmes zu trinken. Brunos Kaffee war gut (Wir sind in England!) und dafür mein Tee mal wieder nicht. Die jungen Leute von heute haben es wirklich verlernt, wie man Tee zubereitet. Zusätzlich nehme ich wieder mein Vitamin Water, was ich sehr seit unserer Fahrt auf der ZAANDAM schätze.
After the tour we need some warm beverages. Bruno's coffee was excellent (We were in England!) and my tea again very lousy. The young people really did not learn how to prepare tea. Additionally I took a Vitimin Water which I appreciated since our last ZAANDAM-voyage.We needed a taxi to get from Town Pier to Ocean Village. So we asked for a card as there was no taxi stand at Ocean Village and you cannot stop a taxi in Southampton. The rest of the day we went with Clifford Cars. They also came to take us from the hotel to the ship.
Wir brauchten ja ein Taxi um vorhin vom Town Pier nach Ocean Village zu kommen. Wir hatten uns bei der Gelegenheit direkt eine Karte geben lassen, weil es am Ocean Village keinen Taxistand gab und man auch in Southampton auch nicht einfach an der Straße eines bekommt. Den Rest des Tages fahren wir mit Clifford Cars. Sie kamen dann auch, um uns vom Hotel zum Schiff zu fahren.Am Mayflower-Terminal waren wir gegen 11.40 Uhr. Der Check-In ging schnell, da wir die Priority Spur benutzen durften.
We arrived around 11.40 hrs at the Mayflower-Terminal. Check-in went quickly as we were allowed to use the Priority Lane.As the Mayflower-Terminal is home terminal for P&O you find here few ship models.
Da das Mayflower-Terminal die Basis der P&O-Schiffe ist, stehen hier ein paar Modelle.
Neu ist der auffällige Aufdruck der Sammelstation seit dem COSTA CONCORDIA-Unglück. Ungewohnt, dass es keine Markierung wegen der Kabinenkategorie gibt. Den Fehler im Schiffsnamen hatten wohl bloß wir. Ich hatte auch jede Menge Karten gesehen, die korrekt gedruckt waren.
New was the eye-catching imprint of the muster station since the COSTA CONCORDIA-incident.It was strange that were was no special mark because of our cabin category. The typo with the ship's name we only had. I saw many cards which were printed correctly.We need to print some for our next voyage... but those only apply if a Cunard ship sails from the Mayflower-Terminal...
Wir müssen uns mal ein paar Dinger nachdrucken... aber sie gelten ja bloß, wenn ein Cunard Schiff am Mayflower-Terminal ablegt...
Sanitizing the hands...
Hände desinfizieren.Wir werden im Spalier am Eingang empfangen und es gibt Mitarbeiter, die uns einen Aufzug rufen und Tür aufhalten.
Like guards of honour they welcomed us at the entrance and there were few crew members who called the elevator for us and kept the door open.
