Sicherheitshalber hatte ich mich doppelt abgesichert: ich bin auf EasyJet von Basel nach Hamburg gebucht, aber auch später noch auf Eurowings von Zürich nach Hamburg. Mit Ach und Krach schaffe ich meine Arbeit und fahre doch zum Euroairport (Basel/Mülhausen). Da ich keine Zeit mehr habe mich im Terminal zu versorgen, kaufe ich alles im Flugzeug. Sogar einen Bastelbogen für Erwachsene gibt es. Ich habe sehr viel Glück: Mein Eurowings-Flug verspätet sich immer mehr. Ich bekomme übrigens eine Stornorechnung unaufgefordert von Eurowings zugeschickt. Im Forum wurde ja gesagt, dass sie nichts schicken würden.
To be safe I booked two flights: one on EasyJet from Basle, Switzerland to Hamburg, Germany and later on Eurowings from Zurich, Switzerland to Hamburg. I just made it off my work and went to the Euroairport (Basle, Switzerland/Mulhouse, France). As I had no more time to buy something in the terminal, I need to buy everything on the aircraft. Even you had a sheet for some crafting for adults. I had a lot of luck: My Eurowings flight became more and later. I got a cancellation invoice without asking from Eurowings. In the forum, they discussed that you could not get any.Everything was well prepared for me with Hertz. I can just see the parking.
Alles steht bei Hertz bereit für mich. Ich muss nur direkt zum Parkplatz.Hat gut geklappt.

Schon wieder ein Focus Kombi so wie in der vergangenen Woche.Zunächst geht es nach Steinwerder: MEINE MSC MERAVIGLIA ist in der Stadt und ich muss sie begrüßen und später in Blankenese verabschieden... Schade, dass ich nicht wusste, dass eine Freundin an Bord ist... ich hätte ja auch ein Transparent gebastelt oder zumindest mein iPad in den Himmel gehalten... Die meisten unserer Crew-Freunde, die wir von der MSC MERAVIGLIA 2017 kennen, sind wohl auf der MSC SEAVIEW. Hoffentlich sehen wir sie im November und dann nochmals auf der MSC BELLISSIMA vielleicht im März 2020 in Dubai.
First I need to go to Steinwerder: MY MSC MERAVIGLIA was in town, and I need to say hello and bid farewell later in Blankenese... Sad that I did not know earlier that a friend was onboard... I would create a banner or at least showing my iPad into the sky... Most of our crew-friends whom we knew from MSC MERAVIGLIA 2017 should be on MSC SEAVIEW. Hopefully, we would see them in November and then again on MSC BELLISSIMA maybe in March 2020 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Then I went to Altona Railways Station. It was weird in Hamburg. Highway A7 through the new River Elbe Tunnel was congested. One of the elevators of the old River Elbe Tunnel went out of order because of the heat, so they did not allow more cars to wait. The first day they introduced the prohibition of using older Diesel vehicles through certain roads in the Altona area, and everyone was checking for alternatives. I made it right on time to be on the platform before Bruno, and his parents would arrive. So they must not use the commuter train to Blankenese. But they were late too.
Danach fahre ich zum Bahnhof Altona. Das ist ein Irrenhaus in Hamburg. A7 neuer Elbtunnel ist dicht. Ein Fahrstuhl im alten Elbtunnel hat noch bei der Hitze schlapp gemacht, dass sie keine neuen Fahrzeuge mehr in die Schlange lassen. Erster Tag, an denen das Dieselfahrverbot in der Max-Brauer-Allee besteht und alles sucht nach Alternativen. Ich schaffe es aber noch vor der Ankunft von Bruno und seinen Eltern am Bahnsteig zu sein. So brauchen sie nicht mit der S-Bahn nach Blankenese weiter. Aber auch sie sind zu spät dran.Ich wollte mal etwas anderes, zumal das Rilano eh ausgebucht ist: Strandhotel Blankenese. Von außen macht es einen tollen Eindruck. Leider ist es nichts für Schwerbehinderte, da es keinen Fahrstuhl gibt und leider gibt es auch keine Klimaanlage. Ansonsten gefallen mir sowohl Lage als auch auch das Ambiente.
I wanted to have something different as anyhow The Rilano was sold out: Strandhotel Blankenese (historical beach resort hotel in Blankenese in the suburb of Hamburg). It made a great impression from outside. Unfortunately, it was not well prepared for handicapped since there was no elevator and they had no air-conditioning. Anything but that it was at a very nice location and the ambiance was very nice.We had room 8 on the 2nd floor with a balcony and the view of the river Elbe. They had no separate mattresses. They offered us to have two single rooms for the same price. Except the heat everything was very nice. Maybe you need to make the balconies a little more safe...
Wir haben Zimmer 8 im 2. Stock mit Balkon und Elbblick. Getrennte Matratzen gibt es nicht. Man hat uns aber angeboten zum gleichen Preis zwei Einzelzimmer bekommen zu können. Bis auf die Wärme ist eigentlich alles sehr schön. Nur der Balkon müsste vielleicht etwas sicherer gemacht werden...Das Bad ist sehr schön.

Not so much space to place something up.Products like you had from the Suite-class on NCL. But where did they know that I had such dry skin that I would need three bottles of Body Lotion...
Produkte wie in der Suiten-Klasse von NCL. Nur woher wissen sie, dass ich so trockene Haut habe, dass ich sogar drei Flaschen Bodylotion bekomme...Abends geht es in den Fischclub Blankenese zum Essen. Nur wenige Schritte vom Hotel entfernt. Sehr lecker... und um einiges günstiger als zuletzt im März ein paar Meter weiter in Teufelsbrück. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht: wir haben schön gesessen, wurden sehr nett bedient und wir richtig lecker gegessen. Ein paar schöne Schiffe kommen vorbei zum Grüßen. Kann ein Tag schöner ausklingen?
For dinner we went to the Fischclub Blankenese. Only a few steps away from our hotel... Very yummy... and much cheaper than the place we went in March.
